Friday we were packed when we arrived there were thirty four people waiting to get in. Lynda made nine dozen egg, lunchmeat-n-cheese sandwiches as I served other foods. I set around a hundred individual packaged sweets on the table. Twelve angle food cakes, seven bowls of goulash, fifteen bowls of potato soup w/beef and twelve hot dogs. For dinner I made chili served over penne & shell pasta with bread-n-butter.
I was able to pay most of the Oct. bills and four more weeks of radio. The newsletter was printed and mailed out last Friday. I was able to catch up a little more on the book work last week and stock the plates at the Mission. We bought a few medical supplies but there is need of more cold medicines, peroxide, alcohol, swabs, bandages, itch cream etc….. We have them asking for socks, blankets, sleeping bags, gloves, stocking caps and coats. We had a shipment come week before of some really nice warn gloves and socks but those went quick. This year the city is not even wanting to open an over flow shelter from the cold.
Pray about helping with these works the needs are never ending we see new faces every week. Think about what you could give to someone in need. They need everything you need. We give everything that is given to those in need with no strings attached we do tell them “just Thank Yahweh for that is where it came from.” Nothing given is wasted and everything given Yahweh sends someone who is in need of it. I have seen things come in the mail and the same day someone comes to the Mission looking for that very thing.
It is TRULY AMAZING!
